For the 2023-2024 academic year I served as the President of the Marine Science Graduate Student Organization (MSGSO) at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL). As President, I was in charge of organizing the 2024 Gulf Coast Graduate Student Symposium (GSS). This was the first in-person DISL GSS since 2018.
The Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) is an annual regional conference that is alternately hosted by the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL), University of Southern Mississippi (GCRL), and Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON). GSS is exclusively hosted by and attended by graduate students. For more information on the yearly conference, please visit our DISL GSS website.
